A formal Will is a set of written instructions by which a person communicates
how their property shall be disposed of after his or her death. One who
writes a Will is said to be a testator or a testatrix if the person is
female. In the case of death where a Will has been created, that person is
said to die testate. In the absence of a Will a person dies intestate. A
designee instructed to handle the affairs of the estate is an executor or an
executrix. A Will or any part thereof may be revoked or altered by a
subsequent written Will, Codicil or other writing declaring such revocation
or alteration provided that the same formalities required for the execution
of Wills under this law are observed in the execution of such Will, Codicil
or other writing.
